and today i almost banged into a guy while turning a corner and smsing.

well amanda got her hair cut today. and amanda refuses to get out of the house tomorrow.

haha. its cause my emo fringe, as everyone used to call it, is quite about gone. and my fringe now is freakishly short. im really not used to it. i like have to blink everytime i see myself in the mirror to stop myself from asking "who the hell is that?" to my own reflection.

and i assure you, my fringe only looks normal in the photo. i dont know what the reaction of my friends will be when they see me tmrw.

but oh wells. its okay. like zakiah said,

today was crazy. my head hurt from all the information i tried to stuff into my head. three hours of chemistry in the morning then math and biology all the way til 3pm.

and today,

oh SHOPPING.

today was awesome. went clothes shopping right after school today. its called de-stresing(cause chemistry lesson today got my braincells wrecked). and besides, its the school holidays.

but i should start saving for that pullover i've been waiting to check off my wants list. not that i actually keep one. just that the mental list i have in my head keeps getting longer and longer.








this time im not letting anyone in.


i suppose this is so typical amanda.


and i just realised tommorrow's the last day of school.

im not the excited kid you see bouncing up and down the corridors when that gay school bell rings.

i've got a few reasons.

im not excited beacause about half of my school holiday is spent in school. and the other half is spent doing nothing while that insanely huge pile of homework decomposes. and then the number of times i get to step out of the house is limited after i brought home the news of my mid year results. and and most of the friends are overseas.

which leaves amanda to stone on her own.

spending one day at west coast park today,

got me sunburnt.

but spending five days at pulau ubin under the scorching hot sun, left me about the same tone and only my ugly shoe tanline.

sunburnt. ouch.

today i spent the day at west coast with about half of the little dudes from my class. had a hell of a time camwhoring and talking and eating and climbing all over the place. we laughed a little too hard and smiled a little too much.

met an ex-crescentian who was married and had a little boy who kept running past us. waved and smiled when she asked if we were crescentians. we are such nice little kids.

haha. its been quite some time since i've blogged so often. the only reason of course, is because its alot more productive than stoning. and i enjoy it alot more as well.


anyway,

i realised,

there was one point of time in my life where i was in a complete wreck. and it's so easy for me to flactuate myself back to who i was.

but thank God for the people who pulled me through.

now im a happy kid. and i really want to spread a big wide smile across everyone's faces and hug them till they gag. i'd really wanna squish all of them into a bag and lug them around with me wherever i go because i dont know what i'll do without them.

and i think most of them dont know it,

but i'd bring the moon to see them smile.

so my point is. smile.

stop scratching amanda. gaah. the mosquito bites are itching like crazy.

its good to be home. its insanely awesome to get to sleep back on my lovely & oh-so-comfy bed with the air-conditioner turned on. and now im happy to be reunited with my phone.

the motion sickness is killing me.

i still feel the rocking of the sea from the kayaking.

i was standing in my room just now with my head spinning and the room swaying. then i looked into the mirror and realised the room wasnt swaying. i was. okay, i've got no more comments there.

so anyway,

dinner tonight was great. grilled food at home. *drools.

then my mum decided to have fun and grill durian. im not a great fan of durian. im a fussy durian eater, i hate fresh durian and love frozen durian.

i wasnt the most excited to try out grilled durian.


that yellow lump is the lump of durian.

okay, dont look so appetising.

but it turned out damn good.

go try it. its really good, honest.

and today wasnt the most productive. and the cliche eat, sleep, watch tv is quite fun actually. i even managed a two hour afternoon nap before rushing down to buy something then heading down for tuition. and oh, bubble tea tastes like heaven.

and now, i shall go resume my stoning.

outward bound 2008


first of all,

and most importantly of course,

amanda's back. heh.

okay so anyway,


outward bound singapore. (tshirt logo i took. i got bored.)

outward bound for the most part was fun. but that doesnt include feeding the mosquitos there and leaving me with over 20 bites. and it doesnt include the three bruises and cuts and blisters i brought back from the five days over at pulau ubin.

but my group was awesome and they made me smile and go high over the lamest jokes.

"eh sand can fly leh! ..sandflies!"

i think we laughed for over five minutes over that line.

and on the days we were deprived of toilet facilities at one of the campsites next to the beach, we drowned ourselves in powder in our tents. and we woke up uber early every morning. or at least we try to.

the land expeditions were tedious. it wasnt long, around 3 to 4km, but the only problem was our huge huge backpacks filled with three days worth of clothes, food and 4kg of water. and the terrain wasnt the easiest to walk on with my recently recovered sprained ankle.

i think all of us enjoyed the sea expedition a hell of a lot more than the land one. instead of kayaking 1km from kekek quarry to obs base 1, they made us go in the opposite direction to kayak around pulau ubin for 16km to reach base one. and we got caught in the storm halfway through so we beached up and slept at the shelter for an hour. but we continued after that all the way back to base one.

but everyone was smiling cause kayaking was the love.

and everyone swayed together when we all had motion sickness after the expedition.


so anyway,

amanda is sleepy and tired so the rest of the details shall be left out.
